We exist to build a compassionate community that earnestly pursues God and introduces people to the life changing power, love and truth of Jesus Christ.

As we work this out together, we want to:

Demonstrate to our communities the compassion that moved Jesus to do all His ministry – preaching, teaching healing, bringing God’s Kingdom to people. We want this to shine out through all we do – whether it’s sharing our resources (food, clothing, life essentials), or bringing healing to broken lives through merciful and effective prayer ministry, or living out God’s kindness and truth in our relationships.
Grow together as an increasingly loving, accepting, genuine community as we follow Jesus.
Pursue God as a people who are passionate for Him in worship, prayer, study and obedience, utterly dependent upon Him in all of life.
Serve everyone we can with the love and power we’ve experienced in Jesus, which is changing our lives. We long to do this according to our own personalities, respectfully, and in a supernaturally natural way, so that others will join us in this great adventure of becoming like Jesus Christ.
See this develop more and more at River Heights Vineyard Church, and plant as many churches as we can, hopefully 1 every 2 or 3 years as God enables us, that will also do this.

Our Values

We value THE PURSUIT OF GOD. We are hungry to know God’s presence, hear his voice, and follow hard after him.

We value CHRISTLIKENESS. We want to be like Jesus – to have His person, His love, His mercy and His power to shine through all we do. We believe the Holy Spirit works in us to heal us free us and change us.

We value BEING SPIRIT-LED. We honor Jesus as our Head and the Holy Spirit as our Counselor and the Administrator of the church. We seek to be actively responsive to the Holy Spirit’s daily leading of our personal lives and of the church.

We value PRAYER. We believe that prayer is essential, because it is our primary means of maintaining our relationship with God. We love God and we want to be with him!

We value DISCIPLESHIP. Our intent is to teach people to believe Jesus’ words, obey His commands and do His works. We aim first to grow as disciples of Christ ourselves and then to make disciples of others.

We value MERCY & COMPASSION. We believe that mercy and compassion are the very things that God extended to us when he saved us. Because of this, we believe we should extend mercy and compassion to each other and to those who don’t yet know Jesus.

We value INTEGRITY. We desire to be honest, open, and transparent in our relationships…speaking the truth in love and living a lifestyle that is consistent with our beliefs.

We value SIMPLICITY. We want to do what we do in a natural, low-key, non-hype way—presenting the simple truth of Jesus and experiencing the reality of His presence.

We value CULTURAL RELEVANCE. We want our music, atmosphere, language, and teaching style to be understandable and relevant to those around us who are seeking God.

We value GENEROSITY. We are committed to freely giving away all that we have freely received from God.

We value LEADERSHIP. We approach leadership as a team effort with the senior pastor operating as a visionary and goal-setter.

We value PEOPLE. All races, ages, styles, backgrounds, …whatever! God loved us enough to send Jesus, so we give love away to others. That’s how it works! We want to live out this love consistently through caring for the poor.
