Life Groups, at RHV, are the best way to get connected and find friends at River Heights Vineyard. Our Fall semester of Life Groups will begin on September 20, 2026.

Description:      We'll be discussing Greg Boyd's book: "Is God to Blame? Moving Beyond Pat Answers to the Problem of Suffering".
The question, is God to blame, often comes to mind when we confront real   suffering in our own lives or in the lives of those we love. Pastor Gregory A. Boyd helps us deal with this question honestly and biblically, while avoiding glib answers. Boyd paints a hopeful picture of a sovereign God who is relentlessly opposed to evil, who knows our sufferings and who can be trusted to bring us through them to renewed life.

Description:      We are learning how to understand and apply the wisdom of the Bible to our everyday lives. We learn better in community, and we get to build good friendships as we meet together. This Fall we will be exploring Paul's letters to the Ephesians and 2 Corinthians. We'd love to have you join us.

Each week we will discuss the reading with a lens of "what did you like?" "what did you dislike" and "how is this impacting you right now" - all those who are willing to read and discuss (~8 years old and up) are welcome to join.

We'll share a simple dinner (potluck style), a quick devotional, and then solitude or conversation while we work on hobbies or crafts. Adults and teens are welcome.

Description:      We will be reading "Aging Faithfully," by Alice Fryling. We all age differently, and God calls each of us to new spiritual birth as we mature and deepen our faith. When we embrace the aging process, we grow closer to God and experience his grace as he renews us from within through his Holy Spirit. Whether you are approaching the beginning, middle, or end of your senior years, you are invited. Come and be transformed. Books will be available for purchase at our first meeting on September 24.

Description:      Spirit & Life (S&L) is a new cohort course designed to equip you for a life of sustainable service in the name of Jesus. We will read books, discuss topics pertaining to faith, ministry, and leadership, practice ministering in the power of the Spirit, worship together, and build friendships of encouragement and support. We will meet on Thursday evenings with occasional weekend sessions, and the cohort will run Sep — May with a break for the holidays. Sessions will be on a "three weeks on, one week off" schedule.This cohort is for anyone interested in growing a life of sustainable service and relationship with Jesus and with others! If you have already taken SoKM and/or PIRC in the past, we are confident this cohort will offer much that is fresh and fruitful.

Description:      You are invited to join us in our home for two "Shared Meal Fridays" this fall - Friday, September 18, 6-8pm, and Friday, November 6, 6-8pm. Register and you will receive an email several days before each meal. You can let us know then if you are able to come and sign up for something to add to the meal. It always adds up to great food and great conversation - and more familiar faces on Sunday mornings. (And we usually bring out a game or two around 8 for those late-night folks.) Come study "The Good and Beautiful Life" by James Bryan Smith with us! Through Biblical teaching and practical exercises, we'll learn more about and practice putting on the character of Jesus. This is the second book in the "Good and Beautiful..." series but reading the first book is not required to be in this group. The Good and Beautiful Life is available in the church bookstore or find it at your bookseller of choice.
