This year's Vacation Bible School theme is Kingdom Quest. I can give that whole description to the kids downstairs. For you up here, this whole summer is about empowering parents. When you attend VBS with your child, we're going to take care of dinner, storytelling, family worship, and a craft. We're going to have a parent coach come in and speak to the about different parenting styles and how to switch between them to the benefit of your children. We're especially going to address how this works with neurodivergent children and how it may look for single parent households. Come to Vacation Bible School this year. Bring your babies, toddlers, elementary kids, yourself and your best friends. Parents of teens, bring them to serve and then come yourselves. This is the best thing I do all year for the health of families in River Heights Vineyard. Come and see.
One of the primary ways that we fund our Children’s Ministry at River Heights each year is through a Minnesota Twins game fundraiser. It’s been a wonderful community building event and has been great fun for families and friends.
We’d love to have you go with us to a game. Our next game is coming up on Sunday, September 13 at 1:10 pm. It’s the Twins vs Cleveland.
Did you ever notice how much of our lives we spend waiting? Whether we’re tapping our foot at the doctor’s, refreshing our email, or asking God for the fiftieth time to answer our prayer, it can be easy to feel like waiting is just an in-between zone, before “real life” happens. But what if God is doing important things during our periods of waiting?
This fall, from September 25th-27th, join the women of River Heights Vineyard at beautiful Camp Koronis for our annual retreat. Through worship, play, rest, and fellowship, we’ll explore what it means to transform our periods of waiting into experiences of hope, trust, community, and intimacy with God.
