Description
With viewpoints on challenging topics feeling more divisive than ever, conversations can quickly escalate in a non-Christ like manner. While we can't control how another person responds, we can choose how we respond. Leveraging the principles of Respectful Conversations, we'll share a meal and then engage in discussions on various divisive topics this summer, allowing each member to express their beliefs and experiences in a safe space. The focus is NOT to change minds but instead to practice active listening, empathy, and self-awareness to deepen our understanding of others and ourselves. Our hope is that through these sessions, we'll develop skills that positively impact our relationships both inside and outside of the group. We look forward to sharing and learning with each other! Dinner and childcare are provided.
